Well, I almost dropped out today. It's been a rough long day and I just didnt feel like getting the camera out...until I saw this groovy reflection and the neat color combo. (Yeah, the glare draws my eye toobut I feel the bright reflection at the top of the bowl helps even it out some.)

Day 9 - Green frosting

Tomorrow is my son's 6th birthday. I asked him what kin do cake he wanted and what color frosting and he said rainbow cake with blaick frosting. Having no idea how to make black frosting, i told him Green is the best I could do. So there are too many shades of green in this photo. Counter, plate, mixer and frosting. Green isnt even my favorite color, if you would belive it.

Day 4 - Reflections

The mixing bowl is soooooo reflective I thought I would use it to my advantage. This was a quicky shot before work today. I notice the dog made it into the shot as well as my hand. I also could have cleaned the bowl better. Perhaps I will revisit this one when I have more time.

Day 2 - Mashed potatoes

The recipe is pretty straight forward. Wash, peel, and quarter 5-6 large potatoes. Boil in a large pot of water with a dash of salt 15-20 minutes until the potatoes are tender. Drain and add potatoes to the mixer bowl. I add about 1/2 stick of butter (or more if I'm feeling naughty) and about 1/2 cup of milk, use more milk as needed. Mix on a medium slow speed until the potatoes are creamy! Add salt and pepper to taste.

This is my desk buddy. My handy Swingline stapler. He's not red though, but black and unlike a lot of staplers today, he's made of metal. I think he looks kinda happy even though he has staples shoved in his face all day. (shot with the camera on my phone so the quality isn't spectacular)
